'hush by you' was a concept where customers voted on which products they wanted to be included in a future collection. The challenge was to present the products without having physical samples to shoot. I had a few ideas, but one in particular stood out as fun and exciting. The rise of nostalgia and 90s trends inspired my approach to this project.
Introducing the "paper doll dress" concept, a nostalgic nod to a beloved childhood trend. Amidst a wave of national nostalgia, I used CADs of unmade dresses on a model to showcase our upcoming collection simply and joyfully. Adding in the tabs to the side of each CAD as well as amending the technical drawing so it showed a bit more movement than usual meant it was a challenging but very fun project to create.
This project generated a record-breaking 6,116 responses on the Typeform page and 1,600 on social media, making it the most interacted-with post in Hush history across all channels.
Lock up
For the lockup, I wanted to keep it simple and use the secondary font, 'Reyy'. I added 'by you' to the hush logo and a hand-drawn element to emphasise the customer-centric nature of the collection. The simplicity of the lockup allowed the collection and creative to speak for itself.
Instagram stories
The Instagram stories poll was another way for the customers to vote for which product they wanted to see in the collection. The brief was for the stories to be easy to understand and quick to choose a product.
